Beginning the New Academic Year
I’ve had such a wonderful summer and have plans to squeeze out as much enjoyment out of the last few weeks of August. To that end lessons will not be held the last week of August (8/25-9/1). Enjoy your first days of school while I’m getting up and running for Fall flute fun!
New lesson policy contracts, student information forms and the new 2014-2015 Events Calendar will be available in the next few weeks.
Lesson Policy Change – Make-up Days
This year I’m going to run an experiment and offer 5 make-up days, all Saturdays, scattered throughout the academic year. Students may reschedule with advanced notice of a planned absence. Only one lesson for each period between make-up days will be rescheduled and slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Practice Challenge Wrap-up
Congratulations to all the summer flute students that participated in the Practice Challenge. Quite a few were able to complete the first tier of the challenge and Kevin Lozada is well on his way to completing the entire summer!
The next studio wide event, the Scale Challenge, will start up on September 3rd, when lessons begin again. Students that successfully complete all the exercises in their level will celebrate at the Scale Challenge Ice Cream Party!
